I'm a recent graduate of massage therapy and wanted to have a chair that I could have around for a long time. My purchase is identical to the chairs used at my school and the labeling on the underside indicated the date of purchase and so knowing what great shape they were still in after several years of use, told me I'd be safe with my purchase!

I am a massage therapist and have used a variety of different massage chairs. All of my co-workers have purchased inexpensive massage chairs at [...] or through [...]. What I can tell you is the cheap chairs are cheaply made, and every chair I've borrowed has some mechanism that stopped working properly after a year or so. If you plan on using this for business, that is a huge liability. Some of the mid-levels (like Ironman, Stronglite and Earthlite) are better quality, but lack the versatility in adjustments. Portal Pro adjusts in seat height, arm rest height and angle, chest pad level, face rest height, face cradle angle, face rest proximity (can adjust closer to chest for smaller people, farther away for large/tall). Anyone that says this has limited postures, hasn't learned how to make all the adjustments yet. My only gripe is regarding the sewing construction. I am going to send back my face rest because the seams were not correctly sewn. One is crooked and makes a pucker in the material and doesn't let the foam inside expand properly. The seam also comes forward and presses into the face and becomes uncomfortable after 5 or so mins. I've used older models of this chair and they are tightly constructed without the poor sewing... So, that was disappointing. Does every company have to go cheap when they grow bigger? Other than that, highly recommended. My second fave model for a little less money, Earthlite Vortex...good quality with a few less adjustments.

This chair is so stable and safe feeling for any sized client that sits in it! Everything locks into place and it's centered so it doesn't feel like it will tip over or collapse.
I took it to a tax office and did about ten people. Adjusting for each person was accomplished quickly so each person had a customized position of comfort. It was hard to get some of them out of the chair! They wanted more!
Athletic events, office visits, trade shows, in the massage office for people who can't lay down... There are so many uses for it to help people!
It was very light and the carrying case that came with it made it even easier to carry.
There is nothing negative about this product. Excellent in quality and performance.

It is a very easy chair to set up and use - and comfortable. We put it in our bedroom and use it daily just for an end of day relaxation. My husband really has enjoyed being able to have his neck and shoulders massaged after working out.

I experimented w/a different portable chair that's on the market, but for me, the set up was way too involved. In a portable chair I'm after quick and easy set-up, along w/easy portability. This chair is really sturdy, very comfortable, and allows for a wide range of height adjustments.

I have been a massage therapist for over 7 years. And this chair is the best one i found!! I do chair massage 4 times a week in this chair and i would not change a thing. Extremely easy to use. You can use the chair wheels (sticking out of the bottom of the bag) to wheel it around. Although you could carry it with ease. very light.. If you are looking for a high quality portable massage chair then this is the ONE!!!

This is such a comfortable chair! So easy to roll around. A little heavy to carry, especially for someone light weight like myself. But it is doable. Clients love it. I also bought an Oakworks table and these products will last forever and they are the most comfortable. Worth the penny!

I do chair massage every Thursday; I have only used this chair for 2 outings. So far I am very impressed with it. I had a different brand of chair for less than a year before I was totally frustrated with it. This one has none of the design issues that the other chair had. It is easy to carry, easy to adjust and my clients find it very comfortable.

I am very pleased with my purchase, while at massage therapy school I had access to 3 of the Oakworks brand chairs. These chairs were over 3, 7 and 10 years old and in remarkable shape. I was impressed with how durable they were and how well they held up with the amount of use.

Being able to pull it along on the wheels is fantastic. The face cradle adjusts to fit all clients easily. The only thing I don't like is the plastic screws that constantly have to be adjusted to change the height of the face cradle and then have to be securely tightened in order to be able to pull the chair along on its' wheels.

I am a massage therapy student and have found in the Portal Pro a chair that has a professional appearance, much better than average stability/rigidity, and high quality construction. As compared to the three chairs at our clinic, the PP is easier to adjust, and does not have the cheap, flexy feel of the others.

If you're an active therapist, in theory, you should be able to afford the one-time investment in this top-of-the-line chair, even at it's steap price tag. I got what i paid for. Not a flimsie imitation chair with a 90 warranty, but a comfortable superior custom product that will last me and my clients a "lifetime". Do the math...

Avoid gimmicks and feel reasured that you are purchasing a quality piece of equipment that wont let you or your client's down. No squeaking or rickety design elements, this chair is solid and very easy to assemble. The wheels are another useful feature which I use quite a bit to avoid lifting the chair (it's not too heavy at all) The only thing I dislike is the size of the chair while in storage position, it doesn't even fit in my sedans trunk.

The chair is a little expensive but for all serious massage therapists who wants a good chair that will go the distance in your career. This chair is easy on your body mechanics which can make or break the quality of your massage by the end of your day. I became familiar with this chair in massage school and after 3-4 months of research in the industry and consulting multiple LMT's this chair is the best. Everyone of my clients that have been on this chair would almost prefer it vs. the table due to comfort and support. If you want the best Oakworks portal pro 3 is the way to go.
